To prepare for WorldSkills, Nizhnekamskneftkehim became responsible for the competence Production of Polymer Goods at Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov’s instruction. It’s quite a new discipline in the championship’s programme – it was first presented at WorldSkills in Brazilian São Paulo four years ago. The competence is special because it requires a set of skills, it includes design, milling and welding, construction, knowledge of technological processes and analytic control of product quality.

Now the college is a competence centre where specialists in two areas are trained: Laboratory Chemical Analysis and Production of Polymer Goods. In addition, to enable Nizhnekamskneftekhim and the N. Lemayev Petrochemical and Petroleum Refining College to train specialists, the enterprise and the educational institutions had to upgrade their workers’ skills. According to experts, all Nizhnekamskneftekhim participants are a hundred per cent ready. Now they just need to perform in the WorldSkills National Championship final well to be in the team Russia.
