On 19 April, the plenary session of the II World Congress of the Tatar Women opened in Kazan Philharmonic. The All-Russian Congress of Muslim women was first held on April 24, 1917. 102 years ago, 90 women from the regions of Russia, Caucasus, Crimea, Turkestan, Poland were invited to participate in the Congress as delegates and guests. This year, the World Congress of Tatar Women will be attended by 500 female representatives from 27 countries of near and far abroad and 67 regions of the Russian Federation, including the Republic of Tatarstan. The previous gatherings in Tatarstan were held in the formats of the forum, in 2017 the 5th forum was held, the organizers note.
