An international friendly match between teams of Czech and Tatarstan hockey veterans took place in the Kazan Sports Palace on 7 December. The Tatarstan team included Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov as well as masters of sport who played for Kazan hockey clubs Uritsky Itil HC and Ak Bars in different periods, Aleksey Chupin, Vyacheslav Andreyev, Andrey Pisarev, Ruslan Zaynullin, Marat Valiullin. Honourable coach of Russia Vitaly Korotkin headed the Tatarstan team. The Czech Extraliga players were on the ice in the Czech team chaired by repeated Olympic medallist of the national team of Czechoslovakia Jan Havel. Evgeny Mokeyev was in goal of the Tatarstan team. Marcel Kučera was in the last ditch of the Czech team. The match ended 10-7 in favour of the Tatarstan team.
