'Protecting our language and traditions': Tatar imams from all over Russia meet for the 9th time in Kazan

The opening ceremony of the 9th Russian forum of Tatar religious leaders was held on July 20th in Korston hotel and entertainment complex in Kazan. This year, the forum has brought together about 1,100 delegates from 69 regions of Russia and 28 foreign countries. This year's annual event is held under the motto ''National Identity and Religion'' and is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the famous Tatar theologian Shihabetdin Marjani. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the plenary session of the forum.
