Nizhnekamskneftekhim presented a stand at the 19th international specialized exhibition 'Power Engineering. Resource Saving', which takes place in Kazan. The platform was visited by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, whom Director General of Nizhnekamskneftehim PJSC Azat Bikmurzin told about the company's achievements in energy saving.

In 2016, the fourth energy saving programme was launched at Nizhnekamskneftekhim. Over four years, it is planned to save 31,6 million kWh of electricity and 605,000 Gcal of thermal energy, as well as 25,000 tonnes of reference fuel. Also, at the enterprise the old boards of control stations are being replaced with new ones, and the complexes of high-speed automatic activation of reserve supply are being introduced, which will allow to provide uninterrupted power supply.

Besides, the company saves money on steam vapor. To do this, in 2013 it was resumed the return of condensate from the production facilities of Nizhnekamskneftekhim to Nizhnekamsk CHPP-1 (PTC-1). Over this time, the thermal power plant received 8,51 million tonnes of return condensate, and Nizhnekamskneftekhim saved 382 million rubles on payment for thermal energy.

Within the framework of the exhibition, Nizhnekamskneftekhim was awarded the first degree diploma in the competition 'Energy efficient equipment and technologies' in the nomination 'Energy efficient developments'.
