Sintez from Kazan lost to Italian Brescia in the third qualfying leg of the Water Polo Champions League and could not reach the main stage of the tournament. The first meetinf of the teams ended 11-9 in favour of Brescia. The return game, which was on 18 October in Kazan, ended with Sintez -8-7. Brescia reached the main stage of the Champions League in the total score (18-17).
