2017 Confederations Cup Park opened near the Central Stadium of Kazan. Famous football players Ronaldinho, former midfield of national team of Nigeria, owner of 1994 African Cup and winner of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta Augustine (''Jay-Jay'') Okocha were the guests of the ceremony. Former captain of the national football team of Russia, 2018 WC ambassador Aleksey Smertin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and The Voice first season finalist singer Elmira Kalimullina accompanied the guests.

Football attractions and multimedia contests with an opportunity to win prizes including tickets to the Confederations Cup in Kazan waited for visitors in the park. Guests of the park could also meet and take a photo with the official mascot of the 2018 World Cup - Zabivaka wolf.
