This year Nizhnekamsk celebrates its 50 anniversary. The ambitious contruction of the industrial hub at Nizhnyaya Kama River, around which the city appeared, would be impossible without the power base.

In February 1967, the first turbo generator of Nizhnekamsk CHP-1 delivered industrial current. This moment can be considered as the birth of the whole industrial hub of Nizhnekamsk.

The station will celebrate its 50-year anniversary next year. Today, by the composition of installed equipent, quantity and parametres of industrial steam, Nizhnekamsk CHPP-1 is the unique object of domestic energetics.
