On 8 October, the ceremonial launch of two new plants of the Turkish company Şişecam Group - Trakya Glass Rus (the production of float glass) and Automotive Glass Alliance Rus (the production of automotive glass) - took place on the territory of the special economic zone Alabuga in Yelabuga municipal district of Tatarstan. The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci took part in the event.
