The consecration of the recreated Our Lady of Kazan Cathedral will take place today, on Lady of Kazan veneration days. A procession with the icon from the Kremlin's Assumption Cathedral to the Kazan Virgin Mary Monastery is traditionally hosted on 21 July. After Virgin Mary's icon was discovered in 1579, the consecration of the Kazan cathedral will start, then the first Divine Liturgy.
