More than 26 million rubles for the creation of a training ground

The N.V. Lemaev College of Petrochemistry and Oil Refining is a competence centre in Nizhnekamsk. The vocational educational institution together with Nizhnekamskneftekhim is preparing specialists for WorldSkills in two competencies — ''laboratory and chemical analysis'' and ''manufacture of products from polymeric materials''. In order to create conditions in the college for training students for the competence ''manufacture of products from polymeric materials'', NKNH has allocated more than 26 million rubles for the training ground and the purchase of consumables.

''The chemists have purchased units with injection molding machine, measuring tools, consumables. We are constantly in touch with them: they supervise us and we send students to them for training. We work closely with them on laboratory and chemical analysis, they provide us with experts, because WorldSkills — it is also the demonstration exams that are necessary to determine the competence of our graduates,'' said the director of the N.V. Lemaev College of Petrochemistry and Oil Refining Almaz Kadyrov.

Nizhnekamskneftekhim is going to be represented by five employees in the Russian stage of WorldSkills

''For me, preparing for WorldSkills is a career growth''

Everyone interested could try their hand in preparation for the championship of working professions. At the beginning of each year, the college recruited a group of students in both directions. But the training is difficult, therefore, the very few stood the test. Now only two contestants are being prepared for laboratory and chemical analysis, including third-year student Aygul Burganova.

''For me, preparing for WorldSkills is a career growth. Why would I stop?! Perhaps, I will be lucky and in the future I will become an expert or get a higher category,'' shared participant in the competence ''Laboratory and chemical analysis'' Aygul Burganova.

Due to that the girl was preparing for the world championship, the student was offered a job as a laboratory assistant of chemical analysis at Nizhnekamskneftekhim. In addition to it, NKNH is represented by four more employees in the National championship of working professions by WorldSkills standards — they all are winners of the republican stage of the championship of working professions and are part of the team of Tatarstan.

In addition to experts, a psychologist works with the contestants. He develops stress resistance and communication skills in them

''Now they are going to fight to get into the national team. For example, for the laboratory and chemical analysis, the selection will be held in March in Yaroslavl. The winners of the selection will get into the national championship. Later, the winners of the national stage will be part of the team from Russia, which will perform in August at the world championship. Of course, it would be desirable that our students get into there, but the competition is very high,'' Almaz Kadyrov shared.

''The goal is to hold competitions of professional skills according to WorldSkills standards at the enterprise''

In order Nizhnekamskneftekhim and the N.V. Lemaev College of Petrochemistry and Oil Refining could prepare young specialists together, the enterprise and the educational institution had to raise the qualification of specialists. For example, six employees of NKNH were trained and became experts, so now they are training the contestants to WorldSkills.

''We have specialists who are going to win, but this is a ''pointwise'' work. Our goal is to hold competitions of professional skills according to WorldSkills standards. That is, we used to hold them according to our methods, but now we want to reach a new level. We are introducing new production facilities and when they are launched, employees will need completely different knowledge. And our specialists will be ready,'' explained Elena Nasybullina, the deputy director of the training centre for personnel training of Nizhnekamskneftekhim.

In addition to experts, a psychologist works with the contestants. He develops stress resistance and communication skills in them. It is necessary for the participants to be able to withstand the pressure of the audience. Now all five employees of NKNH secured a place in the expanded composition of the team of the Republic of Tatarstan and now they have to fight for entering the national stage of the championship.
