Burns unit and renewed polyclinic: Nizhnekamskneftekhim presents new projects

Burns unit solemnly opened in the Nizhnekamsk Central Regional Multi-Specialty Hospital. The project was implemented with the money of Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC, the company allocated over 113 million rubles for this purpose. The enterprise also completed the major overhaul in the Polyclinic No. 1 located in the industrial zone. More is in Realnoe Vremya’s report.

Burns unit will be able to accept even serious patients

A bit more than a year has passed since the decision to create Burns unit was made and it opened. It was decided to create the new unit in the Nizhnekamsk Central Regional Multi-Specialty Hospital as early as July 2018. This issue was addressed at the instruction of Director General of TAIF JSC, Board Chairman of Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC and Kazanorgsintez PJSC Ruslan Shigabutdinov.

Vice Minister of Health of Tatarstan Ildar Fatikhov, Director General of TAIF JSC, Board Chairman of Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC and Kazanorgsintez PJSC Ruslan Shigabutdinov, Director General of Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC Azat Bikmurzin, Senior Managing Director of SOGAZ GC Andrey Tokarenko and other honourable guests arrived in the solemn opening.

“We performed the task the shareholders gave and today we are opening Burns unit. I wish it will remain as new, unused and beautiful as it is now because the less the unit has patients the better, calmer and greater out life is,” Ruslan Shigabutdinov said at the opening.

“The fates of Nizhnekamskneftekhim and the city have always been closely tied. Almost all the facilities, including public health facilities, were built by Nizhnekamskneftekhim. Consequently, we have always felt a responsibility to residents of Nizhnekamsk,” Azat Bikmurzin said.

The project was completely implemented with the money of Nizhnekamskneftekhim — the company allocated over 113 million rubles for this purpose. Burns unit opened in the Treatment Block No. 3. It includes two wards. The first ward is located in Casualty and Emergency Treatment Department. Two burn recovery beds made in Holland, and two artificial ventilators were installed here. The beds were designed in a way to reduce injured people’s pain thanks to pseudo liquid.

“Patients seem to be up in the air. Due to this, burn wounds heal better,” Senior Physician of the Nizhnekamsk Central Regional Multi-Specialty Hospital Khabibulla Akhmedov explained.

In addition, the bed’s temperature and humidity can be set, which helps injured tissues heal and prevent infection. Each bed costs 5,2 million rubles. An additional dressing room and dialysis room were also equipped in the unit where blood will be cleaned with devices for hemodialysis.

The second ward was equipped in Surgery unit. Four burn recovery beds with equipment for aeration are located here, which help injured skin tissues regenerate. The wards for patients with burn also have their own showers and WC and a bathroom equipped with wheelchair shower, which simplifies taking a shower and patients’ sanitary treatment.

Doctors were able to help patients with burns but they had to send seriously injured patients to the Republican Clinical Hospital or the Emergency Hospital in Naberezhnye Chelny. Now there won’t be any problem with transportation of patients — thanks to the new unit, nurses will be able to receive and care about patients with even extensive burns.

Renewed polyclinic for Nizhnekamskneftekhim employees

Besides Burns unit, Nizhnekamskneftekhim has completed the major overhaul of the Polyclinic No. 1, which is located in the industrial zone. This establishment belongs to the enterprise, and its employees, which is about 16,000 people, get medical help here. Unlike urban establishments, there is almost no queue here, there is a lot of specialists, and one can have an appointment with a physician only through a call made in advance. To increase the quality of medical help, Nizhnekamskneftekhim allocated money for the major overhaul. It was carried out in three stages since 2015. Now the overhaul is over, and the polyclinic has been renewed. There have been more open spaces with waiting zones for patients. Rooms with ergonomic workplaces were created for doctors.

“The work on modernisation of the polyclinic was done for three years. There was a major overhaul in rooms, which cost about 150 million rubles. And now together with SOGAZ, all TAIF Group of Companies also allocated approximately 100 million rubles to purchase equipment. It totals 250 million,” Director General of Nizhnekamskneftekhim PJSC Azat Bikmurzin said.

“We considered with what insurance company we should move further in health care for long, there was a lot of offers. The federal experience the company has, which is the biggest insurance company in Russia, works with all the biggest companies. And it was very important that the partners be world-class professionals,” Ruslan Shigabutdinov shared.

Medical equipment has been updated in the polyclinic. A universal digital X-ray system, which allows carrying out all types of X-ray researches, is among the novelties. The latest expert class ultrasound equipment has appeared designed to have an ultrasound scan of abdominal organs, human musculoskeletal system, heart and vessels, including specialised scans for urology, gynaecology, paediatrics.

The modernisation has affected IT equipment, too. It is equipment and software. Thanks to this a “doctor — doctor” system is introduced in the polyclinic: telehealth allows local nurses to consult with federal.

“Development of the first aid is the main challenge for the health care system. We should regain the trust in the first aid — it is the most important thing. This is why preventive medicine should develop. And when organisations of other types participate in the first aid system, of course, they make a significant contribution to health care. This is why we work together, in one team, and these relationships will develop. The polyclinic meets the latest requirements, a good improvement was done, we should make up staff and work,” Vice Minister of Health of Tatarstan Ildar Fatikhov said.

In answer to journalists’ question, the speakers gave to understand that TAIF Group of Companies and the Ministry of Health were going to have new projects in health care. The event ended with a meeting, which was closed for the mass media.
