VolgaStroyExpo: without Turkish and with Irek Fayzullin’s new Deputy

The 21st VolgaStroyExpo International Exhibition opened on 26 April in Kazan Fair where Russian foreign producers presented their construction materials and equipment. A correspondent of Realnoe Vremya visited the opening ceremony and found out that there was not any room for Turkish companies and local producers were the favourites. During the excursion, Irek Fayzullin revealed the name of his future Deputy.

Violet swimming pool and balls from robots

Spring VolgaStroyExpo exhibition was bigger than the autumn exhibition: 212 companies from 27 regions of Russia and representatives from 11 countries, including Belarus, Germany, Bulgaria, took part in the exhibition. For instance, in autumn, there were only 74 companies. A brunch of Realnoe Vremya and the participants of the construction retail market took place within the scope of the exhibition.

This time, VolgaStroyExpo occupied three pavilions at once, and a part of the stands was outside. Here it was possible to find steel street fitness equipment and even a huge violet swimming pool that reminded a big plastic bathingbasin.

A brick from a functionary

The Minister of Construction of Tatarstan Irek Fayzullin participated in the official opening of the exhibition.

'We don't reduce the volume of construction even in difficult, so-called crisis years. Almost 300bn construction works were done in 2015, and the number of programmes in 2016 is no less. Programmes on water zone protection have appeared, the programme on parks and public gardens, construction of medical and obstetric points and dwellings on the territory equal to at least 2,4m square metres are going on,' Fayzullin told in his speech. He stressed that 105,000 constructors work in the republic, and there are 550 construction enterprises. The bar is maintained thanks to them. The Minister also reminded that a new regulation of purchases will come into effect from 1 May, and there will be created a new stock market.

The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Ageyev noted that a possibility to establish relationships, 'look in the eye' is the advantage of such exhibitions, and good immovable property will never lose its price.

After official speeches, the Minister awarded Grand-Prix commendations to the winners of Best Exhibition Product contest. A symbolic bricklaying was the culmination of the ceremony: Talgat Samigullin, the winner of the open Young Professionals Championship of WorldskillsRussia in the Republic of Tatarstan in bricklaying laid a layer of cement on the symbolic wall first, then Irek Fayzullin and other guests laid bricks.

Stroymatica from Cherepovets demonstrated a machine tool driving concrete piles for the construction of country houses

Green light to Russian producer

The most interesting thing started when the formal ceremony ended – tour of an exhibition. Fayzullin was accompanied by his current Deputy Almaz Akhmetshin (he is already packing his suitcase to occupy a new post in Generating Company) and acting Deputy Minister Ilshat Gimaev. Aksolit from Tatarstan, which is producing gypsum goods, presented its first products. Having a look at the stand of Stroyka.Arenda from Kazan, the group switched to Stroymatica from Cherepovets, which demonstrated a machine tool driving concrete piles for the construction of country houses. The Ministry asked in detail how the machine tool worked and suddenly deviated from the course that had been created by the organizers.

'What is it? Where does it come from?' Asking these questions, Fayzullin stopped next to a neighbouring stand where Uzorru presented its carved decorated shutters that we got used to seeing in villages. In general, the Minister many time changed the planned route. This is why people who did not plan to show their products at the beginning could do it.

The Minister was demonstrated a device that twisted a metal made by Stal from Chelyabinsk. The company produced equipment for frameless arched construction and insertions for forging.

'How much does this machine tool cost?' Irek Fayzullin asked as a sound steward.

'The price starts from 170,000 rubles,' a representative of the company replied.

In fact, Fayzullin asked for the price almost every company. Moreover, he also asked every time for the place of the production. Almost all companies presented on the exhibition were Russian. It was another difference of this exhibition from the previous one: in autumn, there were many Turkish entrepreneurs wandering in the pavilions accompanied by representatives of Investment Development Agency of Tatarstan. Turkish Eruap group even stated about a possible placement of its factory in Alabuga, but this spring there was no Turkish businessperson on VolgaStroyExpo.

Domkor (Chelny) demonstrates BIM technologies

'Gimaev will be designated in the short run instead of Akhmetshin'

In the pavilion No.3, when the group stopped near a stand, Irek Fayzullin informed: 'very soon Almaz Akhmetshin will pass his post to Ilshat Gimaev'.

'He has not been designated yet but he will in the short run instead of Almaz Akhmetshin,' the Minister put his cards on the table. He asked the representatives of the companies many times to get acquainted with Ilshat Gimaev and contact him if there were any questions. As for Almaz Akhmetshin, it is known that he will head a subsidiary of Generating Company Energoprogress Engineering Centre PJSC.

In the pavilion No.1, Domkor, a developed from Chelny, demonstrated Irek Fayzullin a technology whose implementation was mentioned during the visit of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation Mikhail Men. We mean BIM technologies that help to avoid mistakes at the design stage.
