Kazan to gather sports ministers

Ministers and officials who are responsible for physical education and sport are to come to Kazan for an international conference from 13 to 16 July. The event is held on the initiative of UNESCO and is to gather 600 sports representatives from 128 countries included in UNESCO. The development vector of the sport will be defined at the conference that takes place once in 4 years.

Today over 50 ministers from different countries have confirmed their participation. The sports ministers are expected from the federal centre by Russian Vice-Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and President of the Russian Football Union Vitaly Mutko, Russian Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov and President of the Russian Olympic Committee.

Races will hit the sky

Red Bull Air Race perhaps that will be held in Russia for the first time will be the most spectacular thing among all the mentioned events. The air races are to take place in Kazan from 22 to 23 July. It will be the fifth leg of the competitions, then the air races will be in Porto (Portugal), Lausitz (Germany) and Indianapolis (the USA).

The final of the fifth leg of the championship in Kazan on 23 July can be observed above the Kazan River and on Sibgata Khakima Street. There will be restrictions for all transport vehicles of citizens. According to Azat Kadyrov, the decision to impose restrictions was made because drivers will be distracted from the road by the air races and create dangerous situations.

Even the fact that the pilots will perform a loop near the Kremlin Dyke and go to the second circle tells about the spectacular of the event.

Training flights of the participants can be seen on 21 July. What is more, a festival I Choose Sky is planned to be held before the competitions on 23 July.

Non-flying weather probably is one of the possible problems that the organisers of the competition can face. However, they promise the races will be cancelled only in case of gale warning and strong wind to 25 metres per second and more.

Like the other events in July, entrance to these competitions will be free. But there will be a zone with seats and umbrellas for 1,500 rubles for comfort lovers. Tickets are already available on the page of Red Bull Air Race.

170 countries of the world will broadcast the air races on TV. Only Match TV will show the competitions in Russia. ''We have almost agreed on the transmission time – either live or with a delay,'' Azat Kadyrov told.

By the way, Kazan signed a contract with Red Bull Air Race for 3 years. This is why the races in the capital of Tatarstan will also be in 2018-2019.
