The Kazan City Hall hosted the ball, held annually by the Lobachevsky Lyceum named at the Kazan Federal University, yesterday.
The ball was dedicated to the 190th anniversary of Leo Tolstoy, as the year 2018 is the year of the classic in Tatarstan. Lyceum students performed dances traditional for balls of the 19th century: polonaise, mazurka, waltz, counterdance, which they studied during the first quarter of the choreography lessons.
