''Ready, Aim, Fire!'' Shovel and shashka mastery, wappenshaw by ''Generalissimo'' Khabarov and hot ''military fights'' in the National Museum yard

A two-day inter-regional military and historical festival called East-West: Patriotic Wars of Russia organised by Vityaz historical club (Vladislav Khabarov is the director) started in the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan on 5 August.

The programme of the first day was about the Patriotic War in 1812. People could see soldiers' camp, episodes of the camp life of the early 19th century, reconstruction of military actions during Napoleon wars.

Shashka competitions Kazarla in Kazan also took place during the festival.

On 6 August, the festival programme was dedicated to the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945.
