On 4 February, the 50th Kazan ski marathon took place in Yudino on the track Locomotive. More than 600 athletes from different regions of Russia, the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan participated in the event. The Paralympic team of Russia also took part.
First Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of RT Khalil Shaikhutdinov, president of Federation of ski races and biathlon of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilshat Fardiev, First Deputy Head of Executive Committee of Kazan Damir Fattakhov, four-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Nikolay Zimyatov took part in the opening ceremony of the marathon.
The athelets competed at distances of 5, 25 and 50 km.
