The 10th republican iftar dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgaria took place at Kazan Expo international exhibition centre on 30 April. Those who attended the event read the congregational prayer following Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin after the sunset. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov participated in it. After the prayer, the believers had a meal for which about eight tonnes of products were purchased.
