Kazan Half Marathon gathered 1,500 funs of running from 46 regions of Russia on 2 October. A 'race in tubeteykas' became its peculiarity. The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov and the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee Damir Fattakhov took part in a 3 km race.
